Titans of War is a trading and collectible trading card game aspiring to be a titan among current giants such as Hearthstone, Magic the Gathering, and Legends of Runeterra and transcending them by evolving the TCG genre
The general idea behind Titans of War is building a trading card game based on regions in the world and their military history. You choose when, who and what to support your strategy based on effectiveness or what resonates with you from real life history, not fantasy or sci-fi!
To do that, you build your deck enabled, but also restricted, by which leader you select. This defines which region(s) different military units, weapons, inventions, tactics and monuments populate to your deck with.
Select your leader from the annals of history, whether it be Ragnar Lothbrok, Sun-tzu, Kublai Khan or George Washington to lead your forces! All leaders are associated with regions, enabling the player access to those regions’ assets through history, such as Ragnar Lothbrok not only having access to the North, but also England.
With your leader selected and his/her associated regions under your control, what forces will you command? With the North’s assets, Vikings bolstering your ranks seems obvious, but what about using the mighty Caroleans? How about the British Empire? Add their naval fleet and its legendary HMS Victory leading you to victory. Combine at will!
With a leader elected and troops drafted, it’s time to give your troops the support and equipment they need. China, one of the regions with some of the most spectacular inventions throughout history, gives you the option to get help from Gunpowder or resources from Chinese Silk and Ming Pottery.
Deploy the tactics used by your leaders and regions to help manoeuvre your troops and outsmart the opponent – such as the Sun Tzu’s Art of War or Baron Armfeldt’s disciplined blitz tactic “Go On” used to drill the Caroleans.
